I got my first chickens on Easter of 2012, my trio of Bantys. I didn't realize it'd become an obsession and hobby of mine. Currently, I have two main coops and a pen in the basement for the winter to keep the Bantys in. I plan on building a new one and some chicken tractors once spring comes.
Currently we are selling eggs to eat for $3.00 a dozen. Eventually, we plan to sell hatching eggs and chicks.
